Ocean Photography from around the World – Happy World Oceans Day

HAPPY WORLD OCEANS DAY, ocean lovers!

I’m assuming that since you’ve somehow stumbled upon this blog that you are an ocean lover, and haven’t just gotten lost looking up remedies for selective colour blindness. And if that is the case, then I feel extra bad for you today since today’s blog is going to a bunch of photographs! Instead of writing about the gloomy, over-heated, over-polluted state of the oceans and our impending deaths potentially caused by its destruction, I’m going to hold off and save it for a rainy day. Today is sunny (literally. for once.) so let’s celebrate the oceans instead! I find the second best way to do that (first is – go spend time with an actual ocean) is through imagery. A picture is worth a thousand words, so Google Image look up some beautiful marine life that inspires you to move across the country and become a marine biologist.

Since so much of the marine life that we, the public, focus on is tropical, I thought it’d be neat to gather images from all corners of the earth’s oceans. Diversity, oh yeah!
